Safe Nest - preparing your home for baby
When it comes to preparing our “nest” for the arrival of our new baby, there is a whole slew of information out there to lean on. It can be overwhelming! Where does one start? Which resources to trust, how big is your budget, what values are important to your family - are all considerations to be factored in with each decision.
As a minimalist on a budget, I personally prepared my home for the arrival of my kiddo by spending hours researching each product. I was hyper-focused on ensuring that I balanced quality and cost, to ensure that I found the safest products.
This blog post focuses on my favorite products that I have personally used and swear by. This is a thoughtful list which I hope helps parents quickly filter through the noise out there.
Molly’s Suds Original Laundry Detergent leaves out all the excess chemicals which are often in our cleaners. Made in the USA with plant and earth-based active cleaning ingredients that are peanut free, vegan, and certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny. This is a link to the Peppermint scent (my favorite), but they also have unscented too. I also use their other cleaning products in and around my home. I love their whole line. It’s a product that is safe for the whole family.
